TV OverMind Review: The 100 Season 2 Episode 3 ‘Reapercussions’

If you watched last week’s episode,  you’ll especially like what Nick Hogan of  TVOvermind had to say about Ian’s performance.  Thank you Nick! 

“I think that the strongest performer in this episode was definitely Henry Ian Cusick in his portrayal of Marcus Kane. Conflicted leadership is a very tough thing to portray. If it doesn’t read with your audience, you are labeled a “bad actor”. Well, Cusick pulls it off. He clearly does not want to hurt Abby, but feels like he must. Once he’s finished, and realizes that his own people can be just as brutal as grounders, he realizes that there must be another way. I could really feel his emotion radiating through his performance in this episode, and I was not disappointed. I’m interested to see what happens when he reaches the grounders. Does he become an animal of war, or does he manage to somewhat successfully broker peace with the grounders?

As Abby and Kane desperately seek out the hundred, Season 2 will morph into the longest, most terrifying family reunion ever — but there’s a catch. “You have to remember that these aren’t the same kids that were sent down in the drop ship,” executive producer Matt Miller tells TVLine. “They’ve all changed and grown and been through so much.” Speaking of which, Lincoln and Octavia’s relationship will blossom from “a googly eyed romance” to a “real relationship.” And even as Octavia “helps to make a bridge” between humans and Grounders, she and Lincoln will come across new, upsetting “culture conflicts.” Meanwhile, as Clarke unravels — or at least attempts to unravel — the secret of Mount Weather, the fates of Bellamy and Finn will be revealed. “The audience will know pretty quickly,” Miller says, “but the characters aren’t in communication, so there are a lot of misunderstandings. It’s basically sci-fi Three’s Company.”

BONUS SPOILER | Executive producer Jason Rothenberg says there “might be a baby in Episode 1.” But don’t get too excited, Linctavia fans, because this wee one “doesn’t come along with a pregnancy.” (Hmm…)

Ian To Star In and Produce Film “Visible”

Another indie film for Ian!

He will play the lead role of  “Guy” in ‘Visible’,  a science fiction love story by writer and producer,  Andrea Snider.

The film will be shot in LA and will be directed by co-producer Clay Delauney.

In addition to starring in the film,  Ian’s production company Henry Joe Productions will be producing the film too.

Ian Cast As Lead Actor in Propel Pictures Feature Film ‘Let It Go’

 

Let It Go Feature Film Casts Lead Actors

Propel Pictures to produce a feature film about the true life story of Chris Williams, based on his life, journals, and book, LET IT GO.

The story and script has attracted talent far and wide. The producers have cast Henry Ian Cusick from the hit television series LOST, and The 100 to play the lead role as Chris Williams. In addition, the team welcomes Academy Award Nominee Brenda Vacarro. Many other supporting cast have been selected from a rich talent pool inside and outside of Utah.

The film is set to begin production in Salt Lake City, Utah in June of 2014.

The compelling true story was covered nationally and touched many lives because of Chris’ decision to forgive the under aged drunk driver who tragically killed his pregnant wife, son, and only daughter in a terrible automobile crash in 2007.

Writers/Directors C.S. Clark and Patrick Henry Parker, the principals of Propel Pictures, learned about the amazing story shortly after it occurred in 2007 and approached Chris Williams about producing a documentary about his eventual triumph over tragedy. The response to Chris’s story and the documentary was remarkable. The team decided to develop a feature length production about Chris’s incredible journey from tragedy to healing.
