New TV Insider press articles are below which include sneak peek videos of Ian as TK’s stepfather Enzo, giving us our first look and listen at his character!
After four seasons,9-1-1: Lone Star is finally putting a face to a name, introducing Henry Ian Cusick as TK’s stepfather Enzo. And as you’ll see in TVLine’s exclusive sneak from Monday’s episode (Fox, 8/7c), the guy definitely knows how to make an entrance.
Bringing Enzo to Austin is something Ronen Rubinstein, who plays TK, has been anxiously anticipating for years. “It’s something I’ve been asking for and daydreaming about since Season 1,” the actor tells TVLine. “I’ve always tried to imagine who Enzo was and who could possibly play him. I think it was perfectly done, and it surpassed all of my wildest dreams.”
In the scene above, Enzo rolls into the firehouse with a flashy 30th birthday gift for TK. As Owen snarks to Mateo, “Enzo has a way of swooping in and making everything about him.” (Spoiler alert: Owen has no idea how correct he is. But he’s about to find out.)
“That storyline is just bonkers,” Rubinstein teases. “This is why I’m not a writer, because the stuff that they came up with for Enzo and TK is just unbelievable. I’m so proud of that. And everything with Jonah is going to be such a roller coaster. People are in for a wild ride.”
What better way to deal with the awkwardness between T.K.’s (Ronen Rubinstein) father Owen (Rob Lowe) and stepfather Enzo (Henry Ian Cusick) when the latter visits (surprise!) than with … arm wrestling? That’s what happens in TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the November 11 episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star.
Enzo is in town for T.K.’s 30th birthday, with his young half-brother Jonah (he’s adorable, as you can see in our exclusive photos)—and everyone gathers at Owen’s for dinner in our clip.
“Can you imagine what Mom would say if she saw all of us at dinner together?” T.K. wonders. (After all, for a brief period of time, Owen thought Jonah would be his, until Gwyn realized the truth.) She’d never believe it, both men know, especially after last time.
When Carlos (Rafael Silva) asks what happened, he finds out about the arm-wrestling match at T.K.’s Bar Mitzvah with the “not so age appropriate” language. Both Enzo and Owen admit it wasn’t their finest hour. Then Carlos makes the mistake of asking who won. Enzo says it was a draw, while Owen insists he did. The subsequent argument leads to a rematch … which goes terribly wrong. Watch the full sneak peek above to see how badly Enzo is hurt.
Rubinstein previously teased for us the “incredible love-hate triangle that we’re going to see between Enzo, Owen, and T.K.” as part of our aftershow, First Response, for Episode 5, “Thunderstruck.”
Bringing in Enzo will “force Owen to acknowledge, kind of going back to his past as T.K.’s father and the years that he was absent, that some damage was done to T.K. and that Enzo had a lot to say about what kind of person T.K. would become,” showrunner Rashad Raisani told us. “So there’s a lot of reckoning about the past that’s gonna come through with his character. Also, he’s just a whole lot of fun.”
Also in this next episode, “Kiddos,” Tommy (Gina Torres) is determined to push through her latest crisis (she has breast cancer), Wyatt (Jackson Pace) attempts to talk-down a suicidal caller, and the 126 must perform a dangerous surgery in the field after a man is impaled in a tree.

‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ First Look at Henry Ian Cusick: T.K.’s Stepfather Meets Carlos (PHOTOS)
We’ve heard quite a bit about Enzo, T.K.’s (Ronen Rubinstein) stepfather, over the years, and in 9-1-1: Lone Star‘s final season, we’re going to meet him!
TV Insider can exclusively reveal that Lost‘s Henry Ian Cusick will recur as Enzo, first appearing in the November 11 episode. Enzo is described as “impossibly handsome, cosmopolitan, cultured, wealthy, and suave.” He shows up for T.K.’s birthday “much to the consternation of Owen (Rob Lowe).” Check out our exclusive photos of Cusick as Enzo with T.K. and Owen as well as meeting his stepson’s husband, Carlos (Rafael Silva), below.

In his first appearance, the November 11 episode titled “Kiddos,” T.K. gets a huge surprise on his 30th birthday when Enzo arrives in Austin along with his half-brother Jonah. Owen’s resentment of Enzo turns physical. Also in this episode, Tommy (Gina Torres) is determined to push through her latest crisis, Wyatt (Jackson Pace) attempts to talk down a suicidal caller, and a man is impaled in a tree.

“Landing Henry Ian Cusick to play Enzo was easily one of the greatest casting ‘gets’ in Lone Star history,” says showrunner Rashad Raisani. “His charm and soul make him the perfect step-father to T.K. And his star power and vicious comedic timing make him the perfect foil for Owen Strand. My only regret is that we don’t have more seasons to watch this incredible actor explore this game-changing character.”
When TV Insider spoke with Rubinstein for our aftershow, First Response, for Episode 5, “Thunderstruck,” he raved about the casting of Enzo. “The person that’s playing Enzo is absolutely perfect, Ian Cusick from Lost, I can’t believe we got him,” he shared. “I literally used to watch Lost religiously as a kid. And the fact that he’s playing my stepdad is just the coolest thing ever.”
Rubinstein, like fans, had been waiting to see Enzo onscreen. “Going into Season 1, I quickly learned that Enzo was actually T.K.’s father figure for most of his young life, and that dynamic compared to him and Owen is very different. And I think it makes for an incredible love-hate triangle that we’re going to see between Enzo, Owen, and T.K.,” he explained.
Kevin Estrada/FOX
9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5 hasn’t actually had many Owen and T.K. scenes, and, according to Rubinstein, the fact that father and son have been going through things on their own “collides because of Enzo and Jonah coming to town. I think it’s a perfect way to unite us. It definitely add a little bit of a rift to Owen and T.K., but it’s for great reason. I think the makeup of those two is one of the most special things that we do this season and it’s all for a good cause, and it brings up some very difficult conversations that needed to be had between T.K. and Owen as well that we’ve sort of just brushed to the side since T.K. was a kid. So it definitely brings up some stuff that I feel like T.K. finally gets to get off his shoulders and really let Owen know how he feels about things and I’m so excited for that.”
Raisani pointed out to us that Enzo “kind of took Owen’s place in T.K.’s life after Owen sort of backed off as a dad because of 9/11. Enzo really did have a giant hand in raising T.K. and he fathered Jonah, T.K.’s little brother. So we wanted to, as we’re sort of looking at this series to wrap it up and talk about family, get back to who is T.K. going to be as a son and as a brother and also as a father going forward as this series comes to a close. Jonah, that little boy, and Enzo, his stepfather, seemed like the perfect characters that we could kind of tell that story through.”
He continued, “Also, it’s gonna force Owen to acknowledge, kind of going back to his past as T.K.’s father and the years that he was absent, that some damage was done to T.K. and that Enzo had a lot to say about what kind of person T.K. would become. So there’s a lot of reckoning about the past that’s gonna come through with his character. Also, he’s just a whole lot of fun.”
‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ Casts a ‘Lost’ Star as T.K.’s Stepfather Enzo
The man who raised TK has been brought up several times throughout 9-1-1: Lone Star‘s five seasons, but viewers will meet him in the flesh in the final season. TV Insider reveals that Henry Ian Cusick(Lost, The 100, Scandal) has been cast as Enzo, TK’s stepfather. Ian Cusick is set to debut in Episode 7, airing on November 11. The character is described as “impossibly handsome, cosmopolitan, cultured, wealthy, and suave.” He visits TK on his 30th birthday and catches Owen by surprise for several reasons, but who’s willing to bet it’s the handsome part? The outlet unveiled first-look images that show Enzo accompanied by Jonah, TK’s stepbrother, and the two guests meeting TK’s husband, Carlos.
This visit has a deeper meaning and is not just a birthday celebration as it might initially present. The season’s description teased that “on his 30th birthday, T.K. gets a surprise visit from someone from his past that could change his and Carlos’ lives forever.” The logline for 9-1-1: Lone Star Season 5, Episode 7 “Kiddos” teases this surprise and other arcs for the episode.
TK gets a huge surprise on his 30th birthday when his stepdad Enzo (guest star Henry Ian Cusick) arrives in Austin along with TK’s young half-brother Jonah; Owen’s resentment of Enzo turns physical; Tommy is determined to push through her latest crisis; Wyatt attempts to talk-down a suicidal caller and the 126 must perform a dangerous surgery in the field after a man is impaled in a tree in.
Showrunner Rashid Raisani talked about casting Ian Cusick for the role. “Landing Henry Ian Cusick to play Enzo was easily one of the greatest casting ‘gets’ in Lone Star history. His charm and soul make him the perfect stepfather to TK, and his star power and vicious comedic timing make him the perfect foil for Owen Strand. My only regret is that we don’t have more seasons to watch this incredible actor explore this game-changing character,” he said.
Enzo’s visit unearths some things from the past and will force Owen to confront his behavior after 9/11 and how it affected TK. “It’s gonna force Owen to acknowledge, kind of going back to his past as T.K.’s father and the years that he was absent, that some damage was done to T.K. and that Enzo had a lot to say about what kind of person T.K. would become. So there’s a lot of reckoning about the past that’s gonna come through with his character,” Raisani teased.
Guest stars for the episode include Ian Cusick as Enzo, Theodore & Vincent Simard as Jonah, Eugene Byrd as Will, Serenity Grace Russell as Rory, Hina Khan as Isla, Christine Weatherup as Dr. Dawn Collins and Iris Liu as Sofia.
Watch “Kiddos” on Fox on Monday, November 11, at 8 p.m. Catch up on Hulu.

‘NCIS: Hawai’i’ Season Finale Is Bringing Back 2 Familiar Guest Stars, Plus How Will Season 3 End?
We’re just about halfway through NCIS: Hawai’i‘s third season, but we’re already looking ahead to the two-part finale—and have some teases about what to expect!
“There’s NCIS Elite. There are two special visits,” Alex Tarrant (who plays Kai) tells TV Insider. We have confirmed that one of the two familiar guest stars popping up in the Season 3 finale is Agent John Swift (Henry Ian Cusick), with the other remaining a mystery. (This will be Cusick’s second appearance this season.)
“There is definitely a special twist that comes in towards the end. It was a shock to me when I was reading the scripts, that’s for sure,” Tarrant continues. And yes, the finale “most definitely … ends on a cliffhanger.”
He’s also excited because “Kai actually hasn’t had very many fights this season, but in the finale, we really get to see something significant within his physical capability.” In general, expect more action from Kai as well as him “looking after the team and trying to be a good teammate.”
Kai has really settled into the team after he was the newbie at the start of the series. In a way, art imitates life. “For me this has been the most enjoyable season so far. I think the first two seasons, I’m from New Zealand, so I’m kind of juggling the accent and then trying to do the whole acting thing. So this is the first season where I felt like everything has come together and I can really just have fun with everyone,” Tarrant explains.
When it comes to his character, “I think he felt like an outsider coming in in the first season and Kai has gone through this amazing transformation, especially looking back at it from Season 1 to where he is now. He’s more open,” continues the star. “I think he’s freer to express himself in the ways that he knows that his team won’t judge him for. So I think that’s such an awesome thing. I’ve been really enjoying this progression of Kai.”
What do you think will bring Swift back? And who are you hoping the other familiar guest star in the finale is? Let us know in the comments section, below.

Ian’s character, Supervisor Agent John Swift, makes his season 3 debut tonight in the show’s second episode of the new season, titled “Crash and Burn”.
We have a preview clip which features Ian, along with Vanessa Lachey as Jane Tennant and new cast regular, LLCoolJ as Sam Hanna.
We’ve heard about Supervisor Agent John Swift of the Office of Special Projects (Henry Ian Cusick) and Sam Hanna (LL COOL J) being in contact on NCIS: Hawai’i, and now we’ll get to see that in action.
Cusick returns in the CBS drama’s third season, and TV Insider can exclusively unveil first look photos (below) and a sneak peek of him in the second episode, “Crash and Burn,” airing February 19.
CBS
“[Swift is] a big reason why we have Sam,” Vanessa Lachey (who plays boss Jane Tennant) told us ahead of the premiere. “Swift comes in. Swift deals with Sam. Sam has a really interesting dynamic with Swift as well. He puts me with Jane,” LL COOL J added.
And now, in the sneak peek, which you can watch above, Jane and Sam join Swift in her office. “What we need to speak about is sensitive,” he says. “I know why you’re here. You don’t think I’m fit for duty. It’s why you sent Sam to babysit me,” Jane says, which Swift denies … sort of. Watch the full sneak peek above for more, including why Swift is in Hawai’i, which includes the reason behind the Russian mob’s breach of the U.S. Marshals service and them taking down the plane in the premiere.
CBS
Cusick’s Swift was introduced in the penultimate episode of Season 2, with Jesse Boone (Noah Mills) and Kai Holman (Alex Tarrant) finding him standing in Jane’s office. Then, Sam came to Jane and Kate Whistler’s (Tori Anderson) aid in Caracas in the finale, and upon returning to Hawai’i, Jane thanked Swift for sending Sam. “Sounds like you handled it just fine,” he told her.
Last time Swift was seen, he was on the phone and commenting about the team (and Jane) on a call we only heard his side of, “It’s a solid group, loyal. Based on what I’ve seen, very by-the-book. This whole situation seems like an exception. No, I’m not sure what other secrets she’s hiding, or what other cretins this will bring out of the woodwork. Well, that’s the problem with our friends at the CIA. Yeah, couldn’t hurt to plus-up the team. I’ve got an idea who.”
Also coming up in the February 19 episode, following the crash of a prisoner transport plane, the NCIS team must find the convicts that escaped onto the island. Meanwhile, Sam Hanna and Tennant are tasked with locating a high-profile Russian prisoner known as “The Chemist.”

Another NCIS franchise return is confirmed in new images from NCIS: Hawai’i season 3, revealing which familiar face will be coming back.
Summary
Henry Ian Cusick returns as Agent John Swift in NCIS: Hawai’i season 3, episode 2.
Swift is seen collaborating with the NCIS team in new images from the upcoming episode.
His return in season 3 accompanies that of LL Cool J as Sam Hanna, who has played the character since NCIS: Los Angeles .
New images from NCIS: Hawai’iseason 3 reveal the return of a familiar character from the franchise, the latest familiar face to appear in the spinoff. The newest season features the return of LL Cool J as Sam Hanna, having previously appeared in scattered episodes throughout season 2. Hanna was previously a leading character on NCIS: Los Angeles, having appeared all the way through season 14.
Now, TV Insiderhas confirmed the return of Henry Ian Cusick as Agent John Swift, revealing images of him in NCIS: Hawai’i season 3, episode 2. The new photos of the Office of Special Projects agent show him working alongside the NCIS in their case. Check out the images below:
What Swift’s Return Means For NCIS: Hawaii Season 3
Swift was first introduced in season 2, episode 21, where he later sent Hanna to help Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) following her capture. He also spoke to someone on the phone at the end of season 2, praising the team for their ability to work together. However, it’s still unclear what his overarching role in the show is aside from his employment with the Office of Special Projects.
His upcoming appearance in the show will likely have to do with Tennant and Hanna tracking down a Russian prisoner named “The Chemist,” since one image shows him standing beside the show’s protagonist. His involvement in the case exhibits its high-profile nature, perhaps hinting at the types of cases to expect in the rest of the season. He may even become a regular guest on the show, joining other NCIS: Hawai’i characters on their future missions.
Given the number of surprising storylines that could happen, it’s possible other familiar faces from the past could appear in season 3. While Swift hasn’t officially joined the main cast of characters, it’s possible his role is expanded upon in NCIS: Hawai’i season 4, should the series get renewed. With plenty of intrigue for the show’s future still in store, it remains to be seen how the new character fits into the larger narrative.
NCIS: Hawai’i season 3, episode 2 airs Monday, February 19 on CBS
A new episode of NCIS: Hawai’i has a surprise for viewers and boss Jane Tennant (played by Vanessa Lachey).
Supervisor Agent John Swift of the Office of Special Projects (played by Henry Ian Cusick) is back.
His title is a mouthful, but his job seems to encompass more than previously revealed.
Swift first appeared in the final two episodes of NCIS: Hawai’i Season 2 (Past Due and Dies Irae).
While he is on the side of bringing down the bad guys, he does it in a way that can ruffle the feathers of people he works with. Add Tennant to that list.
Now Swift is back for NCIS: Hawai’i Season 3, Episode 2, and he has a surprising revelation for Tennant.
Who is Henry Ian Cusick on the NCIS: Hawai’i cast?
Cusick is probably best known for his role as Desmond Hume on Lost. The character was mysterious and brought much intrigue to the hit ABC show.
Cusick played Marcus Kane on The 100, Russ Taylor on MacGyver, and Stephen Finch on Scandal.
And now Cusick is playing John Swift in the NCIS Universe.
Swift sent Agent Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) to save the day at the end of Season 2. Hanna was on the NCIS: Los Angeles team, but now he is helping Jane Tennant in Hawai’i.
“It’s a solid group, loyal. I’ve got an idea who,” Swift said during a mysterious phone call in Season 2.
Then Hanna turned up. And his addition to the NCIS: Hawai’i cast has been a good one.
Henry Ian Cusick returns to NCIS: Hawai’i cast
Following the crashing of a prisoner transport plane, Cusick’s character pops back up on NCIS: Hawai’i. His appearance is in Season 3, Episode 2, debuting on February 19.
Swift admits to Tennant that he sent Hanna to watch her, but that’s not why he is back in town.
A Russian terrorist has escaped during the plane crash, and Swift is there to convince Hanna and Tennant to capture him and bring him back alive. He has a stockpile of dangerous weapons, and Swift wants to know their location.
This gives Hanna an excuse to work another case with Tennant. It all begins at 10/9c on Monday, February 19.
NCIS: Hawai’i airs Monday at 10/9c on CBS.
